In cooperation with our partner Sicilia Fotovoltaico a SMART 4000 hybrid power supply system was installed in a home near Catania on Sicily. The customer insisted on an autonomous power supply although the public grid is available. A 1.7kWp solar generator and a 1kW wind generator (Whisper 200) cover nearly all energy demand also during winter time. In emergency cases the grid is beeing switched on automatically via the SMART ATS to avoid deep cycling of the battery. Thus a long lifetime of the battery bank is ensured. |

Independent PV power in Ireland |

The small house near Ballydehob / Irland is located on a remote farm. Installation costs for access to the public grid are far to expensive. Thats why the customer chosed to set up a pv off-grid power supply system with a diesel backup generator. The solar generator consisting of 8 modules with a total power of 1360Wp is dimensioned to produce enough energy during the sommer month without the need of the diesel generator. The OPzS tubular plate battery bank has a total capacity of 600Ah / 48V and is equipped with recombination stubs. The heady duty performance guarantees long lifetime. All together enables the SMART SWHBG 4000 to maintain continuous 230V AC and 12DC power supply. The backup generator assists the solar modules during bad weather conditions or during winter months. The installation of the system was done by our partner "Future Energy" located in Ballydehob / Irland. |

Hybrid power supply for a farm house in France |

The remote farm house in France was equipped with a SMART 1000 (12V) system for independent power supply. The primary charging source is hydro generator with 12V battery charger directly connected to the SMART 1000 unit. The hydro is able to to power the system with 130W constantly and guarantees a permanent power supply all over the year. In case the hydro generator breaks down, basic power supply is secured by a 125Wp solar module. |

A Home Power Set II has been installed in a remote farm house in western Ireland. The set is consisting of a Smart 4000 battery generator, a PV generator of 680 Wp and a battery bank of 400 Ah/ 48V in total. As there is a smaller stretch of water located nearby the farm house, the Home Power Set has been extended by a stream flow turbine generator, Aquair UW. This small hydro installation guarantees a continous power supply even during bad weather conditions and in autumn and winter.
