PV Power SetsSolar Set PV Power I
The set consists of 1x inverter Studer AJ275S with built-in solar charge regulator, 1x 87 watt peak polycrystalline solar module Kyocera KC85GX-2P incl. pitched roof mounting system, 1x 100 amp-hour maintenance-free solar battery Banner SBV 12-100 as well as the entire pre-fabricated cabling for the solar module and battery. Due to the inverter's built-in solar charge regulator of 10A (short circuit current) charging current, the system may at all times be upgraded by an additional solar module. A total of 2 solar modules type Kyocera KC85GX-2P (87Wp) with an overall ouput of 174Wp may be installed. Likewise, the storage capacity may even be upgraded by additional batteries of the same make. Features at a glance!
Functional Principle
The charge regulator takes care that the energy produced by the solar module is stored in the battery. It protects the battery against harmful overload and, in combination with an intelligent charging algorithm, it guarantees a long lifetime of the battery. The inverter transforms the solar energy stored in the battery into 230V AC power. It also prevents the batteries from beeing deep discharged by disconnecting consumer loads in case of a low battery level. As the solar energy is buffered in the battery, power is available at all times, even at night or during cloudy weather. Each single component of the power set matches up the other ones perfectly. The integration of inverter and charge regulator, the tailored solar mounting system as well as the pre-fabricated cabling with plug socket reduce installation work to a minimum. A subsequent upgrading of the set is possible at any time without having to replace any of the existing components! Energy AvailableThe actual energy made available by the "PV Power Set I" depends on the geographic location of the installation site. In Central Europe, a constant solar power supply throughout the year is not possible, because of the poor insolation during winter months. According to the application it is recommended to reduce the consumption during these months or to use a conventional power generator to fill the gap. In Southern Europe, the seasonal variations are less distinct and, depending on the site of installation, the energy requirement may be covered entirely by solar power. Below, please find some examples of the daily energy that may be available: Average daily available energy (Central Europe)
Average daily available energy (Southern Europe)
In case the energy production exceeds the consumption (e.g. weekend application), excess solar power will be stored in the battery. Once the battery is fully charged the following amount of energy is available: Available energy at fully charged battery*
* at C=20 hours and 50% depth of discharge In any case, before buying this system, check carefully if your requirements are met, in particular if the power set matches the projected consumer profile. Please, also refer to our system check for further information or contact us directly. Solar Generator Mounting OptionsThere are 3 mounting options available for the solar generator included in this power set. Please do not forget to specify the desired mounting option and the type of your roofing when ordering! Questions & AnswersWhich consumers may I operate? How long may I operate them? How long does it take to fully charge the battery? These questions and more will be answered in our FAQs. Scope of Delivery / Technical Data
